GTA Civils & Transport provided a Transport Statement for a new mixed use development comprising 9 dwellings and a medical centre to be built on the site of the existing Glebe Surgery in Storrington, West Sussex.
The new medical centre will have 59 associated car parking spaces, and a further 31 car parking spaces will be provided for the new dwellings. As one of the fastest growing GP surgeries in Coastal West Sussex, accessibility was a key aspect of the planning proposal for the new development.
Access to the site from Monastery Lane provides good connections to Storrington village centre and the A283. GTA produced a Transport Statement in support of the planning application submitted to Horsham District Council at the end of 2016.
Other transport-related work included an Arcady assessment of the mini-roundabout junction at the A283/Amberley Road, together with an assessment of site accessibility to local facilities and bus services.
Planning Consent was granted by Horsham District Council in March 2017 and construction is due to start later this year.
