GTA Civils & Transport produced a full Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to support the proposal for a new development of 123 dwellings on the site of Rose Mead Farm in Horam, East Sussex.
GTA demonstrated that the site was accessible, with good pedestrian and cycle connections to the Downs Link which connects the site to the village centre and nearby towns such as Hailsham. A wider assessment of the highway network was also undertaken, including future junction assessments.
Having extensive Local Government experience enabled our Transport team to propose various traffic calming measures for Horebeech Lane to reduce speeds and gain the support of the Highway Authority.
The GTA Transport Team also attended Planning Committee to support the application. Our transport-related work contributed to a successful outcome and Planning Consent was granted in December 2016.
