Lawence Stringer joins GTA as director responsible for transport planning bringing with him a wealth of experience from East and West Sussex County Councils. GTA could now bid for larger frameworks due to the expansion of services offered.

GTA undertakes a technical audit of the main expressways in Abuja, Nigeria and provides a Transport Assessment for a proposed power station in Mauritius..

Flood Risk services further developed
As GTA continuously expands, so does the wealth of services offered. By focusing on Flood Risk Assessments and Transport Assessments, GTA become more involved at the conceptual stage.

NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM TAKES GTA FORWARD
To facilitate Gerald’s early retirement and Emma’s emigration, two new directors are appointed. Martin Roberts as Managing Director and Neil Stevenson as Technical Director. Gerald retains a relationship with the company providing business planning advice to the directors.

Gerald Tobias establishes Gerald Tobias Associates (now trading as GTA Civils and Transport Ltd) offering specialist services associated with public health and infrastructure engineering.
